Viewing: Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Rhome Funeral Home Inc. , family owned and operated as a member of the Golden Rule, 1209 Grand Blvd. Monessen where friends will be welcomed from 1-4 p.m. on Sunday, February 1st.

Service: Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Monday February 2, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor John Smaligo of the Harrold Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church of Greensburg officiating

Interment: Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery, Monessen

Jean's family would like to express a sincere, heartfelt "Thank You" to Heartland Hospice, in particular the team of Suze, LuAnn, and Shannon, and the entire staff of Hallsworth House for their compassionate care and unending support throughout Jean's illness. We are forever grateful and thankful for each and every one of you.

Obituary:

G. Jean Dyky, 89 years of Monessen, passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2015.

She was born Saturday, March 7, 1925 in Monessen, a daughter of the late William and Jean Ferguson Smith.

She was Presbyterian by faith. Jean was an Avid Bingo player.

She worked as a Telephone Operator for Bell Telephone Co. , prior to her retirement.

Surviving are her son- Robert A. Dyky,of Monessen, Daughter- Karen and husband Gene Fritz of Greensburg, Grandson- Brian and wife Rachel Fritz of Greensburg. , Sisters in law- Anne Dankosky, and Ann Dyky, both of Monessen. Several nieces and nephews, as well as her special nieces- Paige Moeller of Greentree and Kerri Moeller Timko of Rostraver Twp. A family friend- Debie Breckenridge Hough.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Dyky in 2002. Sister- Ruth Moeller and husband Keith, Brothers- Robert Smith and wife Patricia, Edward Smith, Ray Smith and Sister- Lorna Smith.
